Author's night - writer Leslie Cannold

Tuesday 29th March 2011, 6:01PM

The Friends of Emerald Hill Library invite you to an evening with Leslie Cannold, writer, commentator, ethicist, researcher and social activist.
Leslie has been just named the 2011 Australian Humanist of the Year.

Her first novel The book of Rachael has just been released.

Praise for The Book of Rachael:

‘Passionate, eloquent and compelling— destined to rattle a few rusty old cages. I couldn’t put it down.’ Liz Bryski

‘Only a writer as insightful as Cannold could imagine Rachel’s story so intelligently.
Read it as a historical page-turner, as a moving romantic tragedy or as a parable about equality—but read it.’ Toni Jordan
